The 4Dtv Digital Satellite Receiver

Motorola 's 4Dtv Digital Satellite Receiver combines sharp, clear MPEG-2 digital pictures with Dolby® Digital sound. 4Dtv is the first technology other than Laserdisc or DVD to deliver
Dolby Digital. The receiver allows to receive all new DigiCipher II® programming, and is compatible with existing C-Band equipment capable of receiving clear VideoCipherII® Plus signals, reusing the existing VCRS descrambler module.

4Dtv is equipped with high speed data ports for access to the Internet at accelerated speeds. Satellite modems, coming soon, will allow 4Dtv to download data and engage in the future of interactive services, at a rate 1000 times faster than your average 28.8 computer modem in your current PC.

The 4Dtv receiver features four data ports for the following user options:

	High speed data port for HDTV capabilities and other future applications.
	High-speed synchronous port for data applications such as video games and internet access.
	Low speed data port for low speed PC computer applications.
	2-way modem port for instant Pay-Per-View and various future interactive universal applications.

4Dtv Graphical User Interface (GUI)

	Easy-to-use interactive program guide (IPG).
	Option setting for parental control, satellite selection.
	Enhanced user mail.
	Simple one-touch Pay-Per-View.

4Dtv allows you to receive programming and services from more than 30 C and Ku-band satellites, including free and encrypted digital and analog programs and digital audio. 4Dtv's programming universe includes premium movie and sports programming, wild feeds, home shopping, religion, international feeds, network back hauls, educational and adult programming.
