C-Band Satellite TV

What the World

Doesn't Know....

Ever wonder why your new HDTV doesn't look as good as you expected it to be with a digital satellite system or digital cable?  You tried to calibrate your TV with an Avia DVD, replaced and spent lots of money on cables, but still not as good as you would like to see after spending $3000+ on that new TV... *Clue* .... You need to take it one step backwards to the SOURCE where most of the programming originates.

Most programming originates from satellites 22,300 miles away. The C-Band frequency spectrum is used by the broadcasters, the Networks, the HBO's, SHOWTIMES, ESPN, TNT, CNN, Home shopping clubs, etc....... those "cable" channels we all know..... There are 20+ C-Band satellites. 1st generation master broadcasts originating from C-Band satellites.....

So if you have the proper receiving equipment, you can view these 1st generation broadcasts.... a clean, TRUE 480i analog and digital source (along with 1080i HD).

The equipment required is a big mesh dish, "BUD" as many people refer to..... 6 foot or larger, an analog or analog/digital receiver.  Systems start at $899 and up... A full blown HDTV system approx $1999.

Now back to the question of picture quality......

DIRECTV and DISH NETWORK have C-Band Systems - those "Big Dishes", parked at all the required locations to downlink the programming needed for what THEY want to provide..... they then digital process the signal....   compressed the video and audio to fit as many channels as they can get into their limited bandwidth what they have to work with.... more channels added, more compression.....

Next, DIRECTV and DISH NETWORK re-uplink the digital compressed programming to their satellites for all the people with mini-dish (18") systems.....

Most of the DIRECTV and DISH NETWORK programming starts off as analog or digital from the C-Band satellites...... then digital compressed to a point where as the picture looks "fuzzy" or that "out of focus look" on these HiScan - Progressive - line doubling enhanced HDTV digital TV's.....

.The signal process, digital compression, (same goes for the Cable companies and it's digital cable offerings) results in a change in the picture quality.....

For local network (standard and HD), your best picture will be from an OTA (outside) antenna with good reception.....

Your best picture and sound will always be from the ORIGINAL SOURCE....

DIRECTV and DISH NETWORK and local Digital Cable TV process the original signals then pass it along ..... a 2nd generation compressed source.......

Back to C-Band Satellite TV Systems:
There is an abundance of C-Band digital HBO, Showtime, Starz... etc, channels.... looking as good as a DVD.
Excellent sound also, along with several movie channels are in 5.1 Dolby Digital (your home theater room will come alive)...... C-Band (and the KU-Band - added plus) offers in-the-clear (Free) program feeds..... television shows that are in regular primetime, can be seen days or a week before they are scheduled to be on..... Sport and News feeds......

Programming looks fantastic on HiScan - Progressive - line doubling enhanced HDTV digital TV's,  due to the clean 1st generation master broadcasts.....

HDTV programming is an added plus... The "Big Dish" has been around for many years, still the best in Satellite TV and Programming Choices, example:
12 HBO's AND 11 Cinemax's for $19.90 or less a month ($15.83) - $190 if purchased for a year
( or $469 with a complete basic "cable" channel package, some with east and west feeds too!.... that's approx. $39 a month for all that! )

Add 38 Starz/Encore channels for $110 a year.($9.20 a month!)
With C-Band you can put together your own A-La-Carte Packages.... no commitments, lower subscription costs....
The equipment may cost more, a larger dish.... but Programming Choices, Video and Audio Quality is what we are looking for.... The BEST Picture SOURCE that you can get for EVERY DAY use.....

HD Channels Currently Available:

Discovery HD Theater C4-600 ($49 /year)
HBO East T7-118
HBO West T7-120
Showtime West G0-120
Encore HD East G9-126
Encore HD West G9-128
Starz! HD East G9-122
Starz! HD West G9-124

PBS   &   Wealth TV

SHOWTIME HD(west) and HBO HD(east & west) have been on C-Band from the time it
started broadcasting them...... but of course, that is where
DIRECTV and DISH NETWORK receive the feeds..... from Galaxy 10(SHOWTIME HD-W),  and Galaxy 9(HBO HD-E&W),
(Starz HD-E&W) (Encore HD-E&W) and
Discovery HD Theater on C4 .....

Why get only 3, 4 or 5 HDTV channels and suffer with the rest of the mini-dish picture quality......

Watching a master broadcast quality picture is easier on the eyes than a "fuzzy" picture with a mini-dish system.... C-Band has lots of bandwidth to work with..... very little audio & video compression on it's digital channels.

No need to deal with a 2nd generation "middle man" , DIRECTV and DISH NETWORK and the Cable TV companies , resulting in degraded compressed picture and sound quality.

If you have a business in the area that sells the C-Band satellite TV system, check it out. You WILL be amazed! Again the equipment is more and the dish size requirements (6 foot or larger) along with a space allocated for it (and also those home associations rules).... you definitely will get what you pay for...... The BEST PICTURE & SOUND Quality and Programming CHOICES....

A C-Band Satellite TV System Will Make Your HD TV Shine!!!

More and more people are going that route again to get the ultimate picture & sound...... Just like having a very good DVD player...... Been "upgrading" people from DIRECTV and DISH NETWORK to C-Band 4Dtv analog / digital satellite TV and they can't believe the difference this system has made. They are now enjoying more enhanced picture and sound along with the additional programming choices.

The SOURCE is very important on these HiScan - Progressive - line doubling enhanced HDTV digital TV's..... You experience DVD performance, C-Band Satellite TV is no different.......
